This is the entrance to where I live. We work hard keeping our neighborhood clean and green. We do this without hurting our homeowners budget. I have been on the Grande Mirage Homeowners in El Mirage since 2001 since we took over from the builder. Our dues have not increased throughout the years.
I have called El Mirage home since 2001. I feel it is important to be involved with our cities growth and I have done such for the past 23 years. I am a retired Air Force Veteran, I have volunteered as a member of the Police Advocacy Team, selected to serve on the Judicial Committee where we worked as a team to bring our first Municipal Judge to El Mirage. I am a advocate for freedom of choice.
This is our city and it is time city government understand we moved here for a reason. We love the small quaint size of our city. We are connected to each other in a personal way that we do not want to have it changed. It is time to lower our cost of living not increase
I can't win this fight alone. I need everyone's help getting my name and message out to our residents. All hands on deck as we fight the battle of the current city council that desires to raise the cost of living and change our way of life we enjoy.
Jim McPhetres
• Long time resident of El Mirage since 2000.
• Loves the city of El Mirage and will work hard to keep and improve the quality of life for its
citizens.
• Fiscally responsible. Jim will not support wasteful spending for projects that do not benefit
the citizens, as do the three incumbents who are still committed to waste our tax dollars with
unnecessary building projects that were soundly defeated by 81% of the voters this past November.
• Strong supporter of police and fire.
• Jim will work hard to see that development impact fees are re-instated so that the new
commercial development south of Peoria Avenue will pay its fair share toward the additional burden
it will place on public safety, roads, and other services.
• Jim will work to create a recreation department that will service ALL of the residents' desires
and needs per the survey that was done in 2021, and yet, ignored to this day.
• Jim served four years on the city council in 2010 with respect and will bring his knowledge and
understanding of city government to further the goals of the city he loves.
• Jim was Chair of the El Mirage Judicial Committee in 2009.
• Jim is on the Peoria Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
• He is a successful business owner of a local print shop.
